This past Sunday, the girls and I got together for our annual Vision Board Party. I love Vision Boards! Mine is up in my kitchen and it gives me a visual reminder of the goals that I set for myself this year.

Now, I'm not one for "resolutions" but I'm all about a good plan...a good SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely) plan. One of my girlfriends and I even started a weekly meeting to hold ourselves accountable to the goals that we set for ourselves.

We're about that achieving goals, aspirations, and dreams life!

For this outfit, I started with this J. Crew Dot Brocade pencil skirt. I told you guys that I'm obsessed with circles. The See by Chloe blouse (sold out) and the ASOS coat (similar here) just kind of fell into mixed print place...

I like random questions. I like random questions for the sake of them being random. I like to ask random questions where no one should really have the answers. Like...

• Who is the CEO of selling flowers outside of the club?
• Who is the safety manager of the water bottle distribution in the middle of the street during rush hour on a hot day? 
• Who authorized the production of Beyonce's Instagram page? No really, who is in charge over there?!
• Who did it, what for and how I can prevent them from doing it again?! 
• Who really stole the cookies from the cookie jar? 

Sigh...I digress.

Don't blame me. This all started with the color orange...

Obviously, I love adding a little pop of orange with this BCBG Clutch to my more neutral outfits. I've done it here and here. Something about it just feels right!

This weekend was nothing short of UH-MAZING!

We did a lot of walking in DC this weekend. So, flats were a must. I started with these Gold Jimmy Choo Oxford Shoes and built the outfit around them. You know I'm all about being comfortable and cute!

I'm having a personal love affair with this hat. I like LOVE it and I wear it all the time!

I showed up to a joyous 60 minute social gathering amongst friends (read: Happy Hour) with the hat on and people may or may not have thought that I was a little bit homeless. True story. They laughed (at me). I laughed and I continued to rock the hat. Confidence killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back to life after it died...or something.

I don't know.

I am a firm believer in recycling. I'm not talking paper and plastic, folks. It's more like blazers and skirts. I, by no means, have the funds to support the wear it once life style. I wanna wear my clothes until the seams come apart!

This whole look started from the great Etsy head piece that I'm wearing. For me, it usually starts with one thing, one inspiration piece if you will, to motivate an entire look.

On another note, it's kind of oxymoronic to own a fur in Phoenix. Seriously, you never really NEED the fur but if it gets a little "cool" you can pull it out for style's sake.

I found this throwback cutie at one of my favorite consignment shops here in the Valley of the Sun. She was all of $100 US American Dollars. Period. The end and good night!

Subject: Holiday Vacay

If you couldn't guess this, I have a tendency to over pack on vacations. I live by the motto "Stay ready so that you don't have to get ready." So, my bag is usually ready for not one but all three of these events including separate coats, shoes and handbags: A casual dinner and movie, a party with the girls, and a black tie affair! Ok, ok I don't always pack a ball gown but for the most part, I'm ready for damn near anything.

However, when I make it home after paying round trip overweight bag fees, I have come to notice that I don't wear HALF of the things that are in my bag. So, I've been trying to do like Erykah Badu suggests and "pack light!"

So, for this trip home for the holidays, I brought one piece of outer wear and one bag for the entire week! Trust me, this is a big step for me.
