Just so that we are clear, I'm not from Detroit. I'm from Michigan. But I do know a thing or two about Detroit fashion.

Detroiters like to coordinate. Coach bag, matched the Coach belt, matched the Cartier glasses, matched the Guess jeans, matched the Coogi dress, matched the gators. I can't make this up.

I was a player in this fashion game.

All I wanted for my birthday was a big new Coach bag! That was no less than 15 years ago (Jesus, help me, I just said 15 years ago). Since then, I have retired the Coach bag for a few other bags...rhymes with Schucci and Pouie Baton.

However, a couple of years ago, on one of many shopping trips, I spotted this little beauty in the window. It called my name and I answered.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express myself through my clothes. This is my art and soul. One of my favorite fashion quotes says "Your body is like a work of art, dress to be on display." I live for this!

So, I love a deal, sale, and bargain. I live for all of them. In fact, I rarely pay full price for anything unless it's H&M, ZARA, and few of my shoes due to the popularity (read: largeness) of my shoe size.

I love deals and I love good shit on a good deal. So, this jacket that I'm wearing, the embellishment on it is UH-mazing! It's by French Connection and I believe that I paid an entire $50 US American Dollars for the entire jacket. No sleeves were missing and all the sequins were present. 

Seriously, I don't play around. I quit school because of recess...

Yeah, so, I had to literally stalk these Zara Jacquard Capri pants. As soon as they went up online (yes, I have to shop online because there is not one Zara where I live. FAIL), they were sold out in my size. So, I head over to eBay where they are tragically marked up. 

The horror of not being able to own these pants consumes me but I stand firm that I am not going to pay the higher price. I am convinced and sure that Zara will release some additional sizes. This is where the early morning, midday, and evening online stalking begins...

As you can see, victory was mine. Look at my eyes...got 'em!

So, I like to take ALOT of pictures with the peace sign. I don't know. Sometimes, I just don't know what to do with my hands.

I love to mix prints, colors and textures.  Start with a little paisley here, some green and blue stripes there, and throw in a little burnt orange. Somehow, it just werks!
