Memo 123: Patent Leather Skirt Lover

To: All
From: Me
Date: March 13, 2014
Subject: Keeping It Neutral

I was at the flagship H&M store in London on Oxford Street when I first saw her. She was hanging out with the others just sitting there maxing and relaxing all cool. When I first laid eyes on her, I was a little bit apprehensive. See the way that my luggage was set up, I didn't know if there would be additional space. So, I left her there with the agreement with myself, that if I wanted her I would return.

I wanted her. So, I returned.

Get in my luggage you, sexy patent leather midi skirt, you.

Memo 114: Home Away from Home

To: All
From: Me
Date: January 16, 2014
Subject: London Flat
_____________________________________________________________________________________

We lived in the cutest little flat located about 45 minutes outside of Central London. I say lived because I feel like if you've been anywhere for longer than a week, you live there!

Can we please have a moment of appreciation for the wallpaper and exposed brick? So cute. If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I went a little crazy in the wallpaper section at B&Q which is London's version of Home Depot. The local stores here got rid of their wallpaper section back in the early 90s like wallpaper isn't still fly.

They were wrong.

Memo 094: Quilted Softness

To: All
From: Me
Date: October 22, 2013
Subject: Constrained
_____________________________________________________________________________________

I don't know if I'm the only one but every time I get dressed, I want to create a new look. Now, I'm not here for the wear it once lifestyle but I do want to take familiar pieces and create something new.

Under time constraints, this can sometimes cause delays in the schedule. When I'm getting dressed my room looks exactly like someone invited twelve rambunctious children to have their way with my closet.

Anywho, this look came together in one of those time constrained situations. I love the way the textures complimented each other. The leather against the quilted pattern in the top...such a good idea.

Memo 082: Cactus Rose

Remember when my hair was longer?

Me, too. I kind of miss it, especially when I want to wear a ponytail and there's no tail for my pony.

Anyway, I used to wear this outfit often. I love the mix of feminine floral with the studded black blazer. It has a concrete or better yet cactus rose flow going on.

And I may or may not have been playing a little game of hide and seek behind the cacti. Judge not lest ye be judged...

Memo 076: Constant Change

To: All
From: Me
Date: August 9, 2013
Subject: Buh Bye Hair Confusion
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Remember when I diagnosed myself with hair confusion here? Well, folks, I have made a decision.

Short hair!

I've been short before and I've definitely worn my hair like this. I'm not quite sure why exactly I grew it out. I believe it had something to do with the top knot. But I'm serious.

If you can't tell, right up there with prints and patterns is a strong love and adoration for gray and black. It's an understated cool that is so me sometimes.

Memo 007: Top to the Knot

To: All
From: Me
Date: November 12, 2012
Subject: The Top Knot
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Let me explain something to you, I wear top knots. No, you don't understand, I WEAR top knots.

The top knot is good for any occasion and it's ready at a moment's notice.

Just went swimming, your girl calls and she just landed two tickets for a sold out charity dinner. Top knot.
Haven't had your hair styled since your birthday and your number one boo wants to go on a date. Top knot.
You partied way too hard at the club last night and it's time to go to church. TOP. KNOT.

Whoever thought to bring the top knot into fashion, kudos to you!
