See that's the thing about expectations, they make an "expect" out of "a" and "tions". Wait...

So, what I'm saying is that we put a lot of expectations on each other. Parents to children, teachers to students, siblings to one another, spouses or partners to each other, and so on. At some point you have to live YOUR life according to YOU. I don't mean live a selfish life but live one that is uniquely yours.

Free yourself from the expectations that other people have put on your life. Cut yourself free of the mold. Make your own path. Take the road less traveled. Do something that is against the norm. 

I did! I wore orange, black and white on Independence Day! (Gasp) What will the people think?! Throwing expectations to the wind...

It's heating up around here and bare legs are rapidly making an appearance.

These Mink Pink Slasher Shorts made their appearance back in 2010, I want to say. And they were sold out EVERYWHERE! So, once again stalk mode was in full affect. I realize that I am often in stalk mode for clothing. If there was a registry, I would be on it!

So...who wears short shorts? WE WEAR SHORT SHORTS!

Memo 013: Riding in Coach

"Pink gators, my Detroit Players..." - Notorious B.I.G.

Just so that we are clear, I'm not from Detroit. I'm from Michigan. But I do know a thing or two about Detroit fashion.

Detroiters like to coordinate. Coach bag, matched the Coach belt, matched the Cartier glasses, matched the Guess jeans, matched the Coogi dress, matched the gators. I can't make this up.

I was a player in this fashion game.

All I wanted for my birthday was a big new Coach bag! That was no less than 15 years ago (Jesus, help me, I just said 15 years ago). Since then, I have retired the Coach bag for a few other bags...rhymes with Schucci and Pouie Baton.

However, a couple of years ago, on one of many shopping trips, I spotted this little beauty in the window. It called my name and I answered.
