"But where are you going?!", they ask.

As a chronic over-dresser, I get this question asked more times than I can count. Like, I'm going where I am.

Deal.

I remember watching "Breakfast at Tiffany's" at a free Movie In the Park event and being so intrigued with the fashion being displayed throughout the entire movie. I mean, Holly (Audrey) hosted a "house party" and her guests were dressed to the nines! These people were fully outfitted in sheath dresses, suits, pearl strands, gloves and hats worthy of a Sunday service. When did we get so casual?!

Sure, it requires a little work to pull it all together and everyone wants some time to just "be". However, I fantasize about the times of dressing up and not getting asked about the destination, as if that mattered.

  5. that's one of my favourite movies of all time! I blame our current state of casual under-dressed times to jeans and athletic wear. but those who dress well will always win.
