Subject: Getting Your Wedding Priorities Straight

Raise your hand if you have had to prioritize your attendance at weddings this season. Ok, family over friends and good friends over acquaintances. Sorry not sorry but congrats! Travel accommodations, gifts and, of course, your outfit can be a little taxing on your pockets. So, a priority list must be enforced!

This season, I chose my good college friend and my cousin's wedding. I wore this look to my cousin's wedding in Chicago. Although, you don't want to show up the bride, you still want to show up! 

I remained true to my style by infusing some prints and texture. The Zara "dress" in this look lately has been fitting more like a t-shirt than a t-shirt dress. Because I didn't see wearing a t-shirt and heels on the fashion menu, I added the Zara lace pencil skirt to the "dress" to add a little length.

And I've been hitting the gym with a vengeance to get back to t-shirt dress status.

Memo 153: Floral Transparency

Well, what do ya' know. Florals are in this season and guess who already had some floral in her closet?

That's why it's so hard for me to "clean" out my closet. These trends come back over and over again!

My rule of thumb for a clothing purge is to only let go of the items that no longer fit and are worn out. Even some worn pieces can be revived. Remember that go to tailor and shoe cobbler that you have on speed dial? Yeah, use them.

Other than that, most things stay in the closet to be loved on just one more time.

Singing "These are a few of my favorite things…"

You all already know how I feel about brunch and then don't let there be unlimited (fill in the blank with your favorite breakfast cocktail) because that is my dream meal! 

So, when I saw this "Brunch & Bottomless Mimosas" t-shirt from Tees in the Trap, I felt as if they made it specifically for me! Tees in the Trap is all about all things pop culture. Most of your favorite quotes from some of your favorite reality TV stars will be found in the trap. Besides this "Brunch & Bottomless Mimosas" t-shirt, I may be a little obsessed with the "My Ideal Weight is Idris Elba on Top of Me" shirt. Somebody had to say it! 

And yes, you can even "wake up like this".

Happy Fourth of July Eve! *twirls with sparklers in hand*

So, we are all pretty clear that I have a shoe obsession, correct? Back in the spring, I highlighted these Colorblock PVC Sandals from Fendi as one of my top picks for Spring. 

Well, that end of the season sale hit and I was stalking these babies like they were on sale at the end of the season (because they were). It's a tricky game to play but sometimes you come out a winner. 

Paired with this simple t-shirt dress, the shoes are definitely making a statement!
