How about we throw it back to earlier this summer at "Maxed Out"? 

I teamed up with Ambrosia Malbrough of xoxo, Brosia and Ask pRoy of Steel Feather Lace Elephant to host "Maxed Out!" earlier this summer in Chandler, AZ. The theme was, you guessed it, maxi dresses! And these Arizona laytees showed up and showed out!

Who remembers when I mentioned in Memo 002 that I like clothes that make me feel like a super hero?

Well, this top definitely fits the description. It's pure poetry in motion. This top catches the wind like that its only job on this earth. 

I'll be completely honest. I saw this top on my bestie a few months ago and immediately began my plot to steal it from her. At night, I would watch her while she was sleeping to see if I could slip away, convince the top to join the other items in my luggage and come home with me.

Unfortunately, she was on to me and I was not victorious. Little heffa. She was, however, nice (read: wise) enough to see and then purchase the top for me when she saw it at a Zara in her home state. Lucky for her.

When I finally received it in the mail, I explored several different options and finally decided on pairing the top with these emerald green pants from J. Crew. I love how the solid colors played nicely together. For the accessories, I went for wood, gold and tortoise shell. Oh, please say hello to my new wood watch from JORD. Isn't she pretty?

I love the way she blends right in with my other wood and gold bracelets. It's where jewelry and beauty meet function. I am all the way here for this wood watch movement.
