I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I'm originally from Michigan. 

There was a little company called Guess Jeans that was pretty popular when I was growing up. I worked for Guess during high school and on breaks while I was home from college.

It was a requirement that your Guess outfits had to coordinate! In the late 90s, Guess made jeans to span the rainbow. We were walking around looking exactly like a bag of skittles! 

I guess you can take the girl out of Detroit but you can't take the Detroit out of the girl.

Memo 071: Earning My Stripes

Subject: Horizontally and Vertically Speaking

So, during one of the many sales over at ASOS, I spotted these striped shorts available in black/white and orange/fuchsia. Naturally, I ordered both pair. For some reason, although super fabulous, the black and white pair were not a good match for me. I tried to date them for a couple of days but it just didn't work out and we broke up.

I am, however, now in a committed relationship with the orange and fuchsia pair. They were made for me.
