Memo 159: The Stalk is Real!

I don't normally consider myself a stalker but when I do I stalk, I stalk clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories!

A few seasons ago, Zara presented this faux fur vest online and the stalking commenced. See, I know Zara and I know Zara has seasonal sales. Much like BCBG, the items that you love have an 85% chance of going on sale. Fact! Well, kind of fact based on a fictitious statistic…

That's neither here nor there, the point is to get what you want and to get it on sale! When I'm in stalk mode, I like to periodically check the availability of the item (read: stalk by the minute).

If it looks like it's about to sell out, I may have to fork over the money to pay full price but I, also, know about the possibility of the restock. That's where a little risk taking comes into play. I've often lost out on an item that I couldn't live without that wasn't restocked and nothing haunts us like the things we didn't buy!

So, cheers to a little fashion risk taking!

Memo 131: Bad Hair Day or Nah?

I love this short hair cut, I really do, and I love working out (most of the time). 

But the short hair cut doesn't like that I work out and working out could care less about the short hair cut. They just don't get along at all but they need to co-exhist in my life right now. So, when a visit to the salon isn't in my immediate future, I depend on several trusty hats and turbans. 

I just bought this one from ASOS and she's a beautiful little addition to the collection. Welcome.

Memo 102: Feeling a Little Blue

Subject: One Dress, Three Ways: Look 3

For the last look, I am featuring a little monochromatic mixed print with a boost of color. You all know how I feel about cobalt blue.

So, if you were to ask my friends about my arrival time to events, they may or may not say that I can sometimes, not all the time, be a little bit tardy. It's just that I try to do too much before I leave the house. 

For instance, I'll have one hour before I need to arrive somewhere which includes a 30-minute drive to the location. In my mind, I can completely do my hair, paint my nails, fold the laundry, wash the dishes, Facebook surf and get dressed in the remaining 30 minutes. Yes, I'm ambitious and totally wrong!

I have never been nor will I ever be a believer in the "wear it once" lifestyle. When I buy something, especially something a little pricey, I want to wear the wear out of it!

Subject: "Sunglasses Necessary" Trench Coat

When I wear this coat, I always get plenty of...feedback. 

"Oh, you must be the one who took up all the sunshine."
"Hey, there...sunshine."
"I need sunglasses just to look at you."

Ok, so the coat is bright, I get it. I really do but sometimes you need a little bright to make it alright.
