Memo 134: One Last Look

To: All
From: Me
Date: May 27, 2014
Subject: These Shoes
_____________________________________________________________________________________

I have literally had the shoes in this look for almost two years without wearing them. I was all set to return them and then I gave them one last look. See, it's not unusual for me to see things at the moment of purchase that seem completely amazing yet when they arrive in the safety of my closet, they may or may not make it out to see the light of day.

So, I squinted my eyes and tilted my head and saw them in a different light. When paired with these printed Whit shorts, nothing about me could return these beauties. So, they have finally been worn and saved from the tragedy of return.

Memo 067: Home is Where the Heart (and My Furniture) Is...

To: All
From: Me
Date: June 25, 2013
Subject:  Home Sweet Home
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Two Things: Number one, I moved. Number two, moving sucks!

Now, that that is out of the way. There are a couple of life lessons that I have learned from this moving "experience":
  1. Sometimes you have to leave something that you love in order to fully appreciate it. If you're lucky, you get the opportunity to get it back.
  2. There are only a few times in life where you get a do-over, use it wisely.
  3. Once you let someone into something that you value (heart, home, etc.), you're extremely fortunate if they leave it better than the way they found it.

Memo 052: Double Up

To: All
From: Me
Date: April 3, 2013
Subject: Two Coats and Two Other Things...
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Two things...

Number one, I lost my mind in H&M, recently. Hence, the reason why almost every article of clothing that I am wearing is from H&M.

Number two, I love this hairstyle! Apparently, I like hair on top of my head.

When I saw this coat and jacket, I immediately loved the patterns together. And yes, I used the jacket as my shirt. That actually happened.

Memo 050: It's A Celebration!

To: All
From: Me
Date: March 28, 2013
Subject: 50th Post!
_____________________________________________________________________________________

My friends and I will celebrate anything.

New Job? We're celebrating.
Bought a house? We're celebrating!
It's Thursday?! WE ARE CELEBRATING!

So, it's my 50th post. It took a lot of sacrifice, diligence, blood, sweat and tears to get here. So, in life, however big or small the accomplishment, we must celebrate!

In the words of the Honorable Juaquin "Whacka Flocka Flame" Malphurs, "It's a party, It's a party, It's a PAR-TAY!"

Memo 036: Make a (Double) Statement!

To: All
From: Me
Date: February 6, 2013
Subject: Statement Necklaces (Plural)

So, I was feeling a little colorful this day and the graffiti artwork on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix complemented my outfit perfectly!

When it came to finding the perfect statement necklace for this outfit. I just couldn't choose between the Banana Republic Cleopatra necklace (similar here) or the David Aubrey Teardrop Bib necklace (similar here). So, I wore them both!

Outerwear: Fumblin' Foe, Dress: Forever 21

Made: Art Boutique on Roosevelt Row, Ring: YSL, Nails: Fashion by Deborah Lipmann w/white dots, Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood, Necklaces: Banana Republic and David Aubrey
