Memo 185: Wine and Weddings!

To: All
From: Me
Date: May 27, 2015
Subject: Wedding on the Vineyard

Did somebody say wine? Don't mind if I do!

This past weekend my boy of at least 15 years got married to the love of his life at the Vintner's Inn in Santa Rosa, CA. Yes, it was beautiful and (more importantly) yes, there was wine!

So, what do you wear to a wedding in the vineyard, you ask? Well, let me tell you. You wear something amazing. That is all. Got it? Good.

Hold on, before we proceed, let me introduce you to my bestie, Courtney. She's cute and her booty is big. Remember: Never trust a big butt and smile. She has both *side eye*.

Moving on, for this vineyard wedding, Courtney opted for a always-down-for-the-occasion floral body conscious dress from ASOS with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin Corneille pumps (RIP to my Maudissmas). I went for it with this Fringe Skirt from H&M's Conscious Collection paired with the Hide & Seek Sweatshirt from Nastygal.

Top Secret Edit: I cut out the bra that came attached to the Hide & Seek Sweatshirt from Nastygal and wore a Kimchi Blue bralette from Urban Outfitters. I've just opened up this sweatshirt to plenty of options with just the switch of the bra. Trust me, you'll see it again.

Memo 184: Little Blue Riding Hood

To: All
From: Me
Date: May 19, 2015
Subject: A Pop of Color
__________________________________________________________________________________

Yup, I sure did dust this H&M cobalt blue coat off and wear it again. Look at how rich the color is against this black and white Club Monaco dress! I'm pretty much cobalt blue slaying on the way to grandmother's house.

I still love a look with a good pop of color. It adds a little drama that can take a look from ordinary to extraordinary. Pops can be added with simple accessories like a nice piece of arm candy all the way down to a bold statement making shoe.

Memo 183: Go Shawty! It was my birthday...

To: All
From: Me
Date: May 13, 2015
Subject: Re-Discovering Phoenix
__________________________________________________________________________________

Two days later and I'm still recovering from Birthday Weekend 2015. What did I do? Glad you asked. Nothing. Nada. Not a thing. All of thee Above.

Yeah, I really just took a moment to enjoy where I am. I went around Arizona and believe it or not discovered some new places to go and things to do. From the Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms to the celebratory brunch at the Phoenix Public Market Cafe, everything was brand new to me!

For the birthday brunch, I kept it breezy, cute and casual in this H&M striped shirt and Brand of Gypsies shorts from Nordstrom. However, my favorite piece from this look is the Indalo Sling Bag that I picked up Cape Town, South Africa. To think that I was going to leave it behind because I didn't know how I was going to pack it. I shudder at the thought.

Yeah, so about my hair, I'm growing it out. Please be patient with me as I experiment. Today's look featured the faux hawk. The sides were flat twisted to give the illusion of shaved sides.

Memo 182: Camp Conrad - The Lost Files

To: All
From: Me
Date: May 1, 2015
Subject: Photo Diary As Told By Instagram

Happy beginning of my birthday month to you! Ha! I'm trying not to be that person that celebrates all month but when it's a special occasion (i.e. a national celebration) you must give it the proper acknowledgment!

Guess what?! I've found some lost files from the camping trip that I was on earlier this year! First of all, the ACE hotel is one of the most colorful and energetic places to be in Palm Springs. Most importantly, it looks great in photos!

We spent the entire last day of the trip acting UP. If I remember correctly, there was a murder mystery game involved (the name escapes me) and tons of jokes being told around the picnic tables by the pool. Super fun day!

When you go to the ACE hotel, you can't come with anything too boring. ACE screams color, so you bring it!
