Memo 188: Second Time's a Charm

To: All
From: Me
Date: June 23, 2015
Subject: Finders Keepers On Repeat

Reeeeeee-mix!

Remember how I was talking about taking a co-ord (coordinated) set and breaking it up to create different looks? You should, it was just a few days ago here.

Well, here it is, folks! In the flesh. Well, not really but you get it. For this look, I wanted to take the Finders Keepers shirt to a sexier place. I mean the back on this thing is already life giving but pairing it with the tie front pencil skirt from Nasty Gal really just took it to another level of sexy.

This is a great date night outfit. Show 'em what you're werking with!

Memo 187: Finders Keepers' Floral Explosion

To: All
From: Me
Date: June 18, 2015
Subject: I Like to Coordinate!
__________________________________________________________________________________

These coordinated sets have been on the scene for the last couple of seasons. I love them for their ease of style. There's really no thought to them. Two pieces match; you wear them together. Done

Easy yet unoriginal. So, how do you make your coordinated pieces a little different from the rest? I'm so glad that you asked:

  • Don't wear them together. Separate the pieces and create different looks with each piece. That's one of the great things about buying a co-ord (coordinated) set. You instantaneously have at least three looks from one set.
  • Wear them together. I mean that's the point right? Add an accessory or another layering piece that speaks to your identity.

In this look, I opted for this crisp white Zara coat to make the look my own. Some other ideas would be to add some type of head piece (turban, hat, etc.), play around with the top (untuck, unbutton, off the shoulder), or use the top as a layering piece over another top or bralette. Whatever you do, make it your own.

Social Werk! | Rip The Runway UK

The Highlights

Hands down the best segment of the night goes to violinist, Daj Jordan, and designer, Nicole Veronique. They Bobby Schmurda'd this segment! It was the theatrics of it all: the models coming out in formation, the crisp "bossy ass girls" signature Nicole Veronique designs, and the violinist rocking the hottest runway hits! I could barely stand still long enough to capture the performance. Check out my Instagram for the video. Sick!

Designer: Nicole Veronique (Instagram:@nicoleveroniqueofficial)

Rip the Runway UK gives up and coming designers, performers and models a chance to showcase their talent and werk it for the runway. In addition to Nicole Veronique, a few other designers that presented well were Luvli Lounge Lingerie and Mama's Boutiques. Luvli Lounge was all about classic and sexy lingerie. Mama's Boutique is a winner for those who fancy body conscious pieces and don't mind showing a little skin.

Memo 186: The Wild Wild West

To: All
From: Me
Date: June 4, 2015
Subject: Western Vibes
__________________________________________________________________________________

Yup, I definitely live in the west in the middle of a desert. Real life story. If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would be living in Arizona, I may have cackled directly in your face! Literally, there's a saloon a few miles away from my house. A. Saloon.

Isn't life and where it takes you absolutely absurd?! Yes, it is but on the look...

So, apparently, the 70s called and they wanted to make a reappearance in 2015. I answered and welcomed them back with open arms. Re-introducing 70's Desert Chic.

HAPPENING THIS SUNDAY!!!!
